Who doesn't love to see a dog reindeer antlers and a Santa hat? Today's Photo of the Day comes from Sony Alpha user Charles Bradshaw. This photo of his dog D'artagnan was featured on the @sonyalpha Instagram feed where it received more than 4,000 Likes. We reached out to Bradshaw to find out more about how he made the portrait and the gear he used to do it.
To get your photos into the running to be featured on AlphaUniverse.com all you have to do is post them to Instagram with the #SonyAlpha hashtag.
This photo is of my youngest dog D'artagnan who is a mix of a French Bulldog and a English Staffordshire Bull Terrier. D loves to be photographed. Whenever I pull out my camera he perks up from whatever he is doing and follows me around. This photograph was taken right before Christmas 2015; we were gathering photos for our annual holiday card that includes our pups. I pulled out the camera and the reindeer antlers and D jumped in his "photo chair" and waited for his close-up.
What I love about photographing D'artagnan is that he is always good about making direct eye contact with the lens, with little to no direction. I love this shot because he looks like such a serious little reindeer in front of the camera but in reality he is a crazy, energetic, and funny little goofball!
